Nitrification

Nitrification is a critical step in wastewater treatment, as ammonia removal is becoming more and more regulated. It is one of the most difficult processes to maintain in wastewater treatment plants. However, ChemtronRiverBend has the necessary skills and resources to carry out the nitrification process for you.

What is the Process of Nitrification?

Nitrification is a two-step biological process by which aerobic bacteria oxidize ammonium to nitrate. The first step is for the bacteria to convert ammonium ions to nitrite, and the second step is to then oxidize nitrite to nitrate. We achieve nitrification with our top of the line products and system reviews: Nitraloc, Nitro Enhance L and LNC.

Our goal is not to just provide a product, but to also determine the needs of the system by having our experts review the process.  Using data and laboratory testing, we can help determine what caused the issue and optimize to avoid that in the future. This allows for stable and more depend able operation at the wastewater plant.
